A group of us went over to Katie and Jeff's house to carve jack-o-lanterns Sunday night. We had a great time and created some very interesting pumpkins for Halloween. Enjoy the pictures.

Sarah Palin, Spider inside a pumpkin window and two face are the pumpkins pictured here.

These are almost all the pumpkins that were carved. Tim refused to show his to anyone. At any rate, this is a pretty good group of Halloween pumpkins. Clockwise from bottom left - Peace, love and flowers; Peace; Two face; Spider in window; Sarah Palin; Bear; Creative; Who's that?; Sybil (multi-face); Skull & Crossbones; Hands from Hell (Hell's Touchdown)

Creepy crawlers for snacking while we were working very hard on the jack-o-lanterns.

Peace, love and flowers...Benee's happy pumpkin.

Lots of work went into this pumpkin bear.

Three chicks...one in rare form.

Yeah...I'm cute.

Time for a cookie break.

We spread out on Katie and Jeff's front lawn so that we would have plenty of room to create our spooky masterpieces! Lots of love went into creating these jack-o-lanterns.

Hard at work...carving, carving, carving...master-pieces in the making...

Some random pictures from our pumpkin carving at Jeff and Katie's house. The "chick" enjoyed wearing her costume very much. We are all getting in the spirit of Halloween.

Tripp'n to North Carolina

We finished our Weekend trip at the Biltmore in North Carolina.
The grounds of the Biltmore are beautiful. We started out in the Gardens below the house. While beautiful we could see that we needed to come back when the garden is in bloom. No photography was allowed in the house, but the house is really something you should see in person. All the little details would be hard to capture in a photo.

We traveled to Hot Springs, North Carolina this weekend to be with friends and have some fun. Hot Springs lies along the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina near the Tennessee border.
The leaves were just starting to turn and it was cool in the mornings, making it a great time to go. We did fit in a rafting trip down parts of the French Broad River. The water was a little low but we still had fun. (no pictures of the rafting... I was afraid of getting the camera wet)

We ended Saturday night around the campfire.

After dinner we enjoyed a little challenge between the sexes.

When it came time for dinner Saturday night Bobby once again grilled an amazing meal. That is once we figured out a way to light the grill.
